Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale announced his plans to review the grant agreement that gave funds to the 2016 Democratic National Convention, today.
The agreement provided $10 million in state funds to the event. If the grant agreement wasn’t enough to ensure proper use of the money, DePasquale said he will recommend changes to the state contracting and grant procedures.
“We must assure that there are adequate procedures up front in any contract or grant agreement to ensure that all parties know the rules,” he said.
On Monday, DePasquale received written requests for a review of the grant from Governor Tom Wolf along with Senators Joe Scarnati, Jake Corman and Pat Browne.
