Police say a grandmother is assaulted after a family dispute over a loud Pittsburgh Steelers game Sunday.
The woman’s adult daughter and teenage granddaughter are facing charges.
Pennsylvania State Police say it all started when the pair turned down the TV volume of the Steelers/Falcons preseason game Sunday while the grandmother was watching.
So the 77-year-old woman went to her bedroom, locked her door, and started listening to the game on a radio.
Police say that’s when the pair got angry, broke into the bedroom, and attacked the older woman.
“They took a scarf, tied it around her neck, drug her around the house. She was beaten with a metal broom handle. They shaved her head,” said Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Stephen Limani.
Police said the grandmother was held hostage for two days.
She eventually slipped out of her home while her daughter and granddaughter were sleeping. Delores Marie Amorino and her 17-year-old daughter are in jail.
They’re set to face a judge September 1, 2017.
