Just before 1 p.m. Friday afternoon, United High School administrative staff watched 10 United High Seniors enter an area of the high school which was locked and restricted to students on the school’s surveillance camera system. One of the suspects carried a backpack into the crawlspace area of the school. PA State Police Indiana were called to the scene and searched the crawl space. The troopers did not find anything in the area. Since there was a large part of the crawl space not thoroughly checked, Pittsburgh K-9 units and Pittsburgh Bomb Squad were called in to assist in a thorough search of the school. No items of concern were located within the school.
Since there was a potential threat, United High School Commencement Ceremony have been postponed until Monday, June 4th.
