Hundreds of bikers rolled into Johnstown on Friday for the 21st Annual Thunder in the Valley.
“I’d say there’s like excitement in the air. You can just feel everybody’s adrenaline. Everybody’s excited I think,” said Janette Harper. The biker and her husband, Ray, drove from Dayton, Ohio to attend the four-day rally.
Other bikers traveled from eastern Pennsylvania and Virginia.
“Good people, good times, and cold beer,” said Otis Jones, a biker from the Gettysburg area.
Food tents, music stages and vendors set up throughout downtown.
Every biker has their own rally favorite. For Vince Naugle, it’s “meeting new people.” Jones enjoys the live bands. Ray Harper likes the music and “the mountain riding’s nice,” he said.
Even the rain helped keep a Thunder tradition alive.
“It wouldn’t be Johnstown without the rain,” said Janette Harper. “We’re good with it.”
