Residents in Ebensburg Borough and Cambria Township have the chance to safely dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs and they don’t even need to leave their homes.

There’s a drug take back event happening on Friday, July 27 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The goal is to prevent drug addiction that starts by abusing prescription medicine.

Friday evening, first responders will drive through the neighborhoods to collect old or unwanted medications. If you’d like to participate, you can leave your porch light on or flag down fire trucks or police cars as they drive by.

You can also drop off medications at the Ebensburg Ambulance Association on West High Street in Ebensburg or the Revloc, Colver or Dauntless Fire Halls.
