Hundreds of officers, from as far away as Utah and Colorado attended the funeral of fallen Pennsylvania State Trooper, Michael P. Stewart.
Stewart was killed on Friday in a crash when his patrol vehicle collided with a garbage truck in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County.
“We are all state troopers, no matter what uniform you put on,” Texas State Trooper Joshua Snead said. “When one of us falls, we all fall.
“So, we’ve come to pay our respects. We delivered a flag that flew over our capitol in Austin and we delivered that to the family just a few moments ago.”
Funeral services were held at the Holy Family Church in Latrobe, Westmoreland County. His partner who was injured in the crash was at the service.
The crash remains under investigation.
