Frein murder trial continues

It’s the final day of testimony in the Eric Frein murder trial before Easter and prosecutors are calling expert witnesses to the stand.

So far Thursday morning, experts in handwriting and document analysis from State Police and the U.S. Secret Service have taken the stand.

Prosecutors are trying to link Frein to writings that were found at a campsite in the woods as well as the airplane hanger where he was captured.

Those writings detailed the attack at the Blooming Grove Barracks in 2014, where one state trooper was killed and a second was shot.

There are some high profile people of note in the courtroom.

Both the current and former heads of the Pennsylvania State Police are listen to testimony.

Tyree Blocker and Frank Noonan walked into the Pike County Courthouse together Thursday morning.

Blocker heads the agency now.  Noonan was in charge in 2014 at the time of the ambush.

Trooper Alex Douglass who survived the shooting is once again inside the courtroom.
