A large manufacturing facility in Huntingdon County has a new owner.

Struck Properties LLC purchased the former U.S. Sports building. The facility is located off of Fairgrounds Road in Smithfield Township.

The 142,000 square foot building will be the home for a metal improvement company. 

It will create/retain between 20 and 30 jobs. The remainder of the space is planned for use as a multi-tenant facility.

The purchase was part of a package executed by a team of economic development associations led by HCBI, constructed by St.Francis Small Business Development Association (SBDC), with a Huntingdon County HCBI Enterprise Zone (EZ) Loan, an HCBI USDA loan, a Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission (SAP&DC), and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). HCBI says the Huntingdon County Commissioners also played a key role in helping in the purchase of the facility.
