Former Altoona Police Sergeant sentenced to five years probation

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Former Altoona Police Sergeant, Matt Starr was sentenced Tuesday to five years probation.

Starr was first charged in 2017 after investigators say he stole thousands of dollars from the city and local businesses, and billed the city for overtime hours he spent at Rocky Gap Casino.

A jury found him guilty of 6 of the 12 felony charges against him.
