This weekend you can grab a bite to eat in Johnstown and help feed a child in need.

The Cambria County Backpack Project is holding its first ever Fight Childhood Hunger Food Truck Festival on Saturday, October 6th from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at PNG Park in Johnstown.

There will be tacos, bbq, perogies, ice cream and more.

Admission tickets cost $5, which will feed one child for six weekends during the school year.

“When we’re dealing with chronic hunger, I think while we’re there able to fill our bellies, i think it kind of puts everybody in the right mindset that not everybody gets to do that. So, it kind of opens the door to be charitable in that way,” said Natalie Kauffman, the supervisor of the backpack project.

The cost of food is extra, but tickets include free music and free kids games and face painting.
