If you would like to lend a helping hand to not only local veterans but elderly individuals within your community, you can send donations to the Laurel Highlands Historical Village.
The organization runs a food drive as well as distributing much needed household supplies.
Towels, blankets, hygiene items, food, and new or used small kitchen appliances can be dropped off at 172 Allbaugh Park Road in Johnstown.
They also welcome cash donations.
