Volunteers at Archway Ministries in Altoona were thinking of those who had to work this Thanksgiving Holiday.

The church delivered food to people’s homes and held a free dinner from 12pm to 4pm. This included the first responders in the area such as the local fire departments and the Altoona Police Department.

Cpl. Dan Vasil said that he and the officers were grateful for the church’s generosity. He said, “It’s a good reminder. We normally see the worst of people, Having an experience where people reach out, it helps remind us of the good in humanity.”
