The Moonshine Mine Distillery is the first legal distillery in Cambria County.

The owners are a father-son duo. They’re looking forward to growing their business in the community and put as many people to work as possible.

They’re also excited to continue a family tradition.

“This goes back right now to 120 years,” owner Michael Cocho, said. “I have equipment in there that my grandmother had made moonshine with. It’s really in my blood and hopefully it stays for the next 150 years.”

Right now the business has around 15 flavors and that number is growing. However, their ultimate goal is to satisfy customers.

“If someone comes in and says ‘I’d like to try this,’ we’re going to get it,” Cocho said.
