A massive fire destroyed a Clearfield County apartment building with businesses on the bottom.
It happened around 10 a.m. Saturday morning on West Long Avenue in Downtown DuBois.
Crews said when they got to the scene they could see smoke blowing out of the front windows. We’re told the fire started on the main floor, but then eventually spread to all three floors. The building is said to be a total loss.
Emergency responders rescued six people from the apartments. Several were taken to the hospital.
Red Cross is assisting tenants. They also provided food and hydration to the fire crews.
