Multiple crews were called out to a fire at the Gardner Memorial Theater at Old Bedford Village Monday afternoon.
The call came in around 12:30 pm. that’s when more than a dozen companies responded to the scene. Officials say no one was in the building at the time of the fire, and that there were no injuries.
The theater is home to the Bedford County Players who had a show planned for August.
“At this point, we’ve lost all the costumes, all the props, everything that was in place, so I don’t know what we’re going to do,” Bedford County Players President Jim Dull said.
The theater group board will meet later this week to discuss if the show will go on.
