Voters will head to the polls at 7 a.m. Tuesday for the Primary Election. The race for District Attorney is drawing a lot of attention in Centre County.

Democrat Bernie Cantorna is challenging the incumbent, Stacy Parks Miller. Cantorna is a long-time trial lawyer and said he is running to restore integrity to the office.

“We need to rebuild our office. We need to rebuild the experience base.  We need to reach out and create partnerships with the community and law enforcement,” said Cantorna.

This is a job that’s so important to the community. The primary job of keeping the community safe. This job requires experience. This job also requires someone to have it that it’s their calling”, believes Parks Miller.

Parks Miller has been critical of her opponent saying he lacks the experience to do the job. The result of Tuesday’s primary will likely be final. There are no republicans on the ballot for Centre County District Attorney.
