One local festival is happening ahead of schedule this year.
Way Fruit Farm’s Apple Blossom Festival is this weekend in Port Matilda, Centre County. There will be free wagon rides, a children’s story time and free samples of local goods.
“It’s very early this year,” Co-owner Jason Coopey said. “The trees have bloomed about two weeks early this year, but we go along with it. So, that’s why we don’t have the chance to set this very far out but we’re going to do it this Saturday.”
The Apple Blossom Festival gets underway at 10:00 am this Saturday and runs until 3:00 pm.
