This weekend a festival in Elk County is combining the love of outdoors and winter weather.
This weekend is the first ever Elk County Wild Mountains Fest.
Organizers are already setting up at the Old Motion Control Building on Gillis Avenue in Ridgway.
There will be food, breweries, horse and carriage rides, contests and games for the kids. The festival was started to attract more people to Elk County.
“People will move here if there are fun activities and stuff. We just want people to see what they are,” Elk County Chamber of Commerce Tom Fitch said. “What kind of foods we eat, what we do in our spare time, what kind of music we listen to. it’s just basically a good time.”
Mountain Fest begins Friday at 10:00 a.m. and will run through Sunday.
