Fastest 7-year-old breaking records, turning heads

In Florida, seven-year-old Rudolph Ingram Jr. is breaking track and field records in his age group and garnering attention from the likes of LeBron James.

His dad, Rudolph Ingram Sr., calls him “Blaze” for obvious reasons.

The kid can run fast. They started training at age four and now, at age seven, he’s smashing USA track and field records for his age group.

His latest 100-meter dash finished in just 13.48 seconds. That’s only 3.39 seconds behind the record for guys 17 to 18 years old.

“It feels great!” said “Blaze”, “it feels great, anyways, I trained for it!”

Humble, yet competitive are words his dad love to use describing him. He said, “I have seen him lose mid-race and just take off and get faster. He does not like to feel like a loser. He wants to win.”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers players like O.J. Howard and Mike Evans are recognizing his talents. Even LeBron James tweeted about his football skills, some saying he’s the next Usain Bolt.

His dream? To get into the NFL. His dad says the most important thing is allowing him to be a kid, but showing him what’s possible when you don’t give up.

He explained, “This is my baby. I’m overly proud of him. He makes me so proud. I don’t like saying it because he’s my child, but, I definitely feel like he does great things.”
