ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — First responders and emergency service workers met in Blair County on Tuesday for the 10th annual SARA Summit.
During the convention, speakers from different industries addresses severeal topic including community awareness and emergency planning.
This year’s theme was “Site Security.”
The Chairman of the Local Emergency Planning Committee for Blair County, Timothy Rea, said the event helps folks stay informed about how to handle emergencies.
“Many of the subjects that we go over will then become part of emergency planning and focus of both education and practice throughout the community,” he said.
One of the main presentations at the event was given by a cybersecurity advisor from the Department of Homeland Security.
