An Elk County man has been arrested for assault with a weapon.

According to police, on January 8 at approximately 9 p.m., Brandon Dilley, 33, went to 34-year-old James Biel’s house to pick up some of his personal items.

An argument escalated between the two men. Eventually, Biel grabbed a gun and fired a shot past Dilley’s head.

Charges were filed January 9 and a warrant was received for Biel. He was found Thursday and was taken into custody without problems.

Biel was unable to post a $50,000 bail and is currently being held in the Elk County Jail.
