Wednesday, a special gift from a local business was given to help cancer patients in Clearfield County.

Johnson motors in DuBois donated more than $13,000 to the Bob Perks Fund. The non-profit was created to help ease financial hardships on families battling cancer.

The owner, Bob Johnson, says it’s important to give back to those in the community who need it most. “This money stays in Clearfield County and I think we need to build this county to make it profitable for Bob Perks to be able to give money.” The money is raised from those who purchase cars from Johnson Motors over the holiday season.

The bob perks fund has distributed more than 1.7 million dollars in Blair, Centre, Clearfield, and Huntingdon counties since 2006.
