Driver injured, 95 cattle rescued after tractor-trailer crash

HARTLEY TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One person is in the hospital, and 95 young cattle have been rescued, after a tractor-trailer crash.

Multiple crews responded to the call just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night along State Route 45, just east of the Centre County line.

Officials say the tractor-trailer, which was hauling the cattle, overturned down a 25-foot embankment.

The driver was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Crews were on the scene for nearly 3 hours working to free the cattle. No word on if any were injured.
