A local community hosted its first Drag Queen Story Hour this weekend. As the Centre Daily Times reported, about 150 people, parents and children, attended the program Saturday at Schlow Centre Region Library on Saturday.
Three drag performers from the State College Queens read children’s stories primarily concerned with diversity, LGBTQ pride, and breaking gender stereotypes.
Drag Queen Story Hour is a national program featuring drag performers reading to and interacting with children to promote inclusivity and acceptance.
