ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown is moving their headquarters from Hollidaysburg to Altoona.
The new location, called the Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center, will be in the former Our Lady of Lourdes School on West Chestnut Avenue.
In addition to the Bishop’s Office, the building will house the Tribunal, Office of Communications and the Education Office. It’ll also include a television studio for production of the diocesan Proclaim! TV Ministry.
The Family Life Office, currently located in Lilly, will also move to the new center.
The move is scheduled to start June 17.
The former location on South Logan Boulevard has been sold to Garvey Manor Nursing Home. The Hollidaysburg campus has served as the diocese’s central offices since 1972.
