A theater group in Elk County is getting ready to put on dinner and a show next weekend.
The Footlighters of Elk County are performing “The Fox on the Fairway.”
It’s a comedy about two rival country clubs competing in a golf tournament.
Performances are at Aiello’s Cafe in Ridgway.
“We’ve been around since the 1950s,” cast member David Carr said. “We never really had a theater, we kind of just bring our theater with us and entertain the masses that way.”
Show dates are March 21-23 and 28-30.
Friday and Saturday shows are a dinner theater.
“A lot of the theaters in the area don’t really do that,” cast member Mike Ames said. “Here you can enjoy a show right here in a restaurant, enjoy your dinner and have a drink or two while you’re watching the show.”
Dinner theater tickets must be purchased the Tuesday before the performance.
Tickets can be purchased at Northwest Bank in St. Marys, Cliffe’s and the Prescription Center in Ridgway, and the Old Brickyard in Johnsonburg. They can also be purchased online here.
