This weekend is the 29th Annual Italian Food and Heritage Festival at DelGrosso’s Park in Tipton.

The Festival will be Sunday, September 23 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and is sponsored by DelGrosso’s Foods, Inc. and University Orthopedics Center.

“We are proud of our family heritage and traditions,” said DelGrosso’s Park President Carl Crider Jr. “If there is one thing Italians love, it is good food. This annual showcase of food, family, and fun is a celebration we look forward to every year.”

DelGrosso’s will offer a wide variety of Italian food. The kitchens of DelGrosso will set up in Pavilion 2 as an Italian food villa with multiple serving stations for guests to try the many amazing food items, including homemade lasagna, chicken asiago, and cheese tortellini in a creamy roasted red pepper sauce.

Guest favorites such as Italian wedding soup and pasta fagioli will be in the red and white tent, while DelGrosso’s Italian sausage sandwich with peppers & onions and meatball sandwich can be found in Pavilion 3. Guests are also invited to try the Italian rum cake or tiramisu from the kitchens of DelGrosso. Pacifico Bakery will also have their amazing breads and Mt. Carmel Church will feature Italian pastries that will include biscotti and cannoli.

In addition to the food, DelGrosso’s Festival will also feature music from 6-year-old opera singer Victory Brinker at 12:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. New York’s Italian crooner Michael Castaldo will take the stage at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Faiella’s Father and Son Strolling Guitar and Mandolin Duo will entertain guests throughout the park.

The Italian Food and Heritage Festival will take place during the park’s Annual Car Load Sale weekend. On September 22 and 23, one vehicle holding 10 people can get an all-day fun pass for the rides for just $15 per car.
