Today a special guest visited the Blair County commissioners’ meeting.
County Dairy Princess Kara Stultz stopped by to speak to the commissioners about the interests of the dairy farmers, who are too busy to make it to those meetings.
She says local farms play a big role in keeping Pennsylvanians healthy and helping the commonwealth’s economy.
“Dairy farming is very important for this community and this state,” said Stultz, “and without dairy farming and people consuming our products, that there’s a lot of men and women without jobs.”
The Dairy Princess also emphasized how much care dairy farmers put into their animals every day.
This is the first time a Dairy Princess has ever attended a Blair County commissioners’ meeting.
