Coroner releases college wrestler’s cause of death

The cause of death for a college wrestler has been released.

Nick Roberts, a senior at University of Pitt-Johnstown, was found dead last month in his apartment.

The county coroner said he died of an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Roberts was a PIAA champion at North Star High School.  After beginning his college career at Ohio State he transferred to Pitt-Johnstown where he was a Division II National Champion on the Mountain Cat wrestling team.

He had suffered an injury this season and was unable to wrestle.
