Drivers in State College should be aware of construction updates on North Atherton Street from December 3 through December 7.
The work zone speed limit has been reduced from 35 MPH to 25 MPH from Aaron Drive to the State College Borough line near Mitchell Avenue. This speed reduction will be in place until the project is complete in October 2019. The speed limit from Mitchell Avenue to Park Avenue is permanently set at 25 MPH.
No work is anticipated from West Aaron Drive to Blue Course Drive.
Through December 20 from Blue Course Drive to Woodland Drive, the far right lane will be closed, heading toward the University.
The contractor will be installing new water lines from Woodland Drive to Park Avenue. Traffic will be down to one lane while the contractor is working.
