JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Staff has been recognized for its commitment to competency for its high-quality CPR training for employees.
A total of six manikin carts have been installed around the hospital campus. They are attached to computers where employees can access their personal account prior to the demonstration. Once the employee has completed CPR on the manikin, the system then gives feedback and what improvement can be done.
Our compliance rate with the program after two quarters is 99.75%, which is outstanding. We implemented Basic Life Support (BLS) on RQI in July 2018, and have seen staff improvement with our rate and depth of compressions.”
– Gayle Denk, Manager of Medical Staff Support Services.
The goal of the state is to implement RQI technology in 90 percent of hospitals by 2020. It is projected to save over 50,000 lives through hospital resuscitation.
