SAINT MICHAEL, CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Second Chance Fundraising invites you to attend the fourth annual Second Chance 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 10 at Berwind Wayside Festival Park in Saint Michael.
The race will be dedicated to the second chance at life that organ transplant recipients are given upon receiving their transplants.
Funds raised during the race will go to the Center for Organ Recovery and Education. CORE is the federally designated not-for-profit organ procurement organization in Western Pennsylvania that acts as the link between donors, healthcare professionals and recipients in delivering the gift of life through organ, tissue and cornea transplantation.
Registration starts at 9 a.m and the race begins at 10 a.m. Prizes for winners in several categories will be given and all runners will receive a gift bag upon completion of the race.
After finishing the race, please join us for an after party at the Berwind Wayside Festival grounds right beside the finish line, There will be great food, beer, door prizes, 50/50, and raffle chances.
