Clearfield group hosting local Fall Fest

Clearfield is gearing up for the local Fall Festival.

The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation (CRC) will host the 8th Annual Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K, Fall Fest, and Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, October 13.

The day begins with a Pumpkin Run 5K run/walk through Clearfield. Interested participants must register by September 28 for a race shirt.

Day-of registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Clearfield Riverwalk Amphitheatre, and the race starts at 8:30 a.m. in the area of Clearfield Agway.

After the race, people are invited to the Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival is free, family-friendly, and located on Market, Locust, and Third Street. There will be great food, and the chance to talk to over 100 talented artists as they display and sell their work. Many local businesses will also be open with fall sales.

There will be live entertainment in front of the courthouse, and kids will be encouraged to draw chalk drawings on their own square of the sidewalk, sponsored by Historica Plus Antiques. There will also be games, activities and face painting for the kids throughout the festival.

Wrapping up the day will be the 5th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show that will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The show will be in and around the Third Street Parking lot with registration from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a $10 registration fee and different classes for vehicle owners to participate in.

There will be certificate and cash awards for first, second, and third places, depending on the number of participants per class.
