A Clearfield County man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a deadly crash in July of 2017.

Gregory Millinder Jr., from Madera, was driving his 2012 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Route 53 in Woodward Township when he lost control, hitting the back end of a Chevy Corvette. He then hit a Chevy Bel Air head on, killing its passenger, Mary Caprio, 70.

The driver of that car, Gary Stover, was airlifted to UPMC Altoona.

Two people in the Corvette were also taken to UPMC for their injuries.

After an extensive investigation, police determined Millinder was under the influence at the time. He plead guilty to Homicide by Vehicle while Driving Under the Influence among other lesser charges.

Millinder was sentenced to six to 15 years in prison Tuesday.
