A man and woman were involved in a deadly car crash on April 3, 2019, at around 11:30 p.m. It happened on SR879 of Old Erie Pike in Clearfield County.
The car lost control and went down an embankment. It came to rest onto the passenger side, against a tree.
The woman, Christina Metzker, 41, was dead at the scene and the man attempted to run. He was found and was under the influence of alcohol. He had injuries from the crash and was flown to UPMC Altoona Hospital.
The investigation on the crash is ongoing. Currently, the man’s name has not been released.
