Clarion University will now be offering an online Opioid Treatment Specialist certificate program.
Governor Wolf and administrators from Clarion University announced the addition of the program Wednesday in Harrisburg.
The program, the first of its kind in the state, is the university’s response to the growing epidemic in the state.
It will be offered to students this upcoming fall semester. The 12- credit, four-course certificate program is available with no prerequisites.
Administrators hope it will help educate treatment professionals to combat opioid use around the state.
