A man is facing homicide charges in connection to the death of a Curwensville woman.

Damien Ditz, of Clarion, is accused of killing Katrina Seaburn – a student at Clarion University.

The shooting was initially ruled as accidental, after Seaburn was found dead after being shot in the chest March 1 at the Village of Lake Lucy in Clarion County.

As the investigation continued, police said evidence in the case indicated that Ditz intentionally killed Seaburn.

Ditz was taken into custody Tuesday night by state police and committed to the Clarion County Jail without bail.

The charge of general Criminal Homicide encompasses Murder of the first, second and third degrees, as well as voluntary and involuntary manslaughter.  Ditz is also charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault (F1 and F2), 2 counts of Simple Assault (M2), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2).

Under Pennsylvania Law, bail is not set in a case where first degree Murder is charged, as life in prison is a possible punishment.
