We’re just 24 hours away from the DuBois City Classic.
DuBois Area and DuBois Central Catholic are set to meet in both baseball and softball this year.
The games were scheduled for the end of April, but had to be rescheduled due to rain. The event planners are hoping they’ll have better luck with the weather this time around.
“We’re pretty excited about it,” DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio said. “It’s the first big event leading up to the summer months.
“It’s not summer yet but the weather out there is telling us it’s summer.”
The event kicks off with the softball game at 4:00 pm followed by the baseball game at 6:00 pm. Following the game a band will perform and there will be a fireworks display.
