A young child is recovering in the hospital this afternoon, after being hit by a truck in Altoona.
Police say it was just before 9:30 a.m. when the truck struck the child in the area of Jaggard Street and Pleasant Valley Boulevard.
It took police some time to track the driver down, but officials say that truck has since been located.
We’re told the child was injured but it expected to make a full recovery.
Altoona Police continue to investigate the incident.
