An Elk County man is in jail after police say he sexually abused two girls.
Police started investigating Michael Chittester of Ridgway in response to reports that he molested a 5 year old and raped a 10 year old girl.
During that investigation, police say they discovered that he had been committing those crimes for about 4 years.
He was arrested and arraigned just before midnight last night.
He’s facing 200 counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, indecent exposure, and indecent assault charges.
He is also facing one count of corruption of minors.
Chittester is currently behind bars in the Elk County Prison.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
