Charges are pending in the case against a man accused of hitting a state trooper with a car, and fleeing police.

Troopers say they encountered a man on route 30 in Bedford Township, on Saturday, when he took off in a vehicle. That’s when he drove into a state trooper that had gotten out of their vehicle, and police fired at the suspect.

The man was not hit by gun fire, but ended up crashing into a sign and getting hurt.

The trooper is recovering from a broken arm and minor leg injury.
