A local counseling agency and the non-profit it helped create celebrated a big milestone Monday..
Evolution Counseling, LLC joined the Blair County Chamber of Commerce for it’s ribbon cutting ceremony two years after it opened its doors.
The counseling agency focuses on working with kids and families in Blair County .
The Chamber also welcomed Evolution Expressions, a 501(C)(3) non-profit created by Evolution Counseling.
Evolution Expressions gives them the ability to apply for grants to help fund it’s programs.
“Locally, we do not have any funding to work with out LGBTQI community or with the trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, it allows us to open doors to help a population we currently don’t have funding to,” said Evolution Counseling Executive Director and Evolution Expressions Vice President Craig Clark.
Other programs include Arts for Healing, and Zumba Fitness.
Counseling services can help families with anything from teens starting to act out, to drug and alcohol abuse, or even divorce or death.
Most services are free to families in the community.
