The Centre Foundation is encouraging high school students in Centre County to apply for the Centre PACT Program.

Centre PACT (Philanthropic Actions Created by Teens) is a program that aims to help students learn leadership, communication, professional and networking skills.

Students from across the county meet to discuss issues within the community and learn about some of the solutions offered by nonprofits.

“It is truly remarkable to see how students grow over the course of the program,” said Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “They discover so much about Centre County, each other, and themselves.”

Interested students should fill out an application by Friday, September 28.

Meetings will be held once a month on Sundays from 5 to 7 p.m. during the school year starting October 21 at the Centre Foundation’s office at 1377 Ridge Master Drive, State College, PA 16803.

Over the last three years students in the program have granted more than $22,000 to 15 local organizations since 2015.
