Police in Centre County were called to a standoff situation Saturday night.

Officers said a gunman was barricaded at a Spring Township home.

We’re told the man had a loaded shotgun and threatened to harm himself. Police said they were able to get all of the residents out of the home.

A short time later officials told us the suspect left the house and was taken into custody. They said the fully loaded shotgun was recovered and the man was then taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
