Set up for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts is officially underway.

Crews began preparations Sunday around noon on South Allen Street in State College.

The festival kicks-off Wednesday with children’s activities before the sidewalk sales and exhibitions open on Thursday.

The festival will be over a span of five days, with plenty of opportunity for family-friendly fun.

“There’s no reason to stay home this weekend. You can come downtown and get a chicken on a stick or a hot sausage sandwich, walk around…Hear some great music maybe buy some art, have a great time,” Executive Director  Rick Bryant said.

Stay with us all week, as we’ll have continued coverage of the festival over the next couple of days.
