The Port Matilda Fire Company spread holiday cheer at their annual children’s Christmas party.
It was a fun time as kids got to do some arts and crafts, visit with Santa and even take a ride on a fire truck.
Organizers said the event is a good way to bring the town together. It also allows kids to see the firefighters in a different setting.
“It makes them happy and that’s what were here to do,” Morgan Rudy, co-chairwoman of the party, said. “It’s a great opportunity for the community to get involved and see what the fire company does for our community,” Laura Ferguson, who also co-chaired the event, continued.
We’re told this year’s event had a better turnout than previous years.
