This week preschool students in Altoona are thinking about what they want to be when they grow up!
“Begin With Us Childcare and Preschool” is hosting a career week to teach kids what kinds of jobs are out there.
So far the students have met a veterinarian, postman, doctor, and a truck driver.
We spoke with educators who say meeting professionals face to face is an exciting way to get those children thinking about the future.
“It’s important to teach the children that they’re part of a family and they are part of a school and those things are all part of a community,” says Begin With Us Director of Programs Chelsea Hallinan.
While our WTAJ crew was there, we took some time to talk to those students about what it’s like to work in TV news and how it serves the community!
