ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Tuesday night’s debate for Blair County Coroner was the perfect opportunity to find out what goes into the job.
Two women want your vote for coroner: Newcomer Erin Myers and the current Coroner Patricia Ross.
Myers and Ross debated on dealing with deaths, budgeting the department, working with first responders and why they think they’re the right person for the job.
“I have the education, the experience, and the compassion that I’ve always given to my community and my county and I want to continue doing this job,” says Ross.
“I feel that I bring a fresh perspective, I have the commitment to be full time, I’m young with energy so I’m really excited about serving,” says Myers.
The Central Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women hosted the event.
WTAJ’s Amanda Kenney moderated the debate.
The primary election is May 21st.
