The Cambria County President Commissioner, Thomas Chernisky, will be reading to children at several local schools, as part of this year’s Read Across America.
Read Across America was started to honor author Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) and to encourage reading every year on his birthday, March 2.
President Commissioner Chernisky will read at the following schools on the following dates:
February 28
Cambria Elementary (Central Cambria School District) at 1 p.m.
March 1
Richland Elementary at 9 a.m.
Cambria Heights Elementary at 10:15 a.m.
Forest Hills Elementary at 1 p.m.
March 2
Cambria County Library at 11 a.m.
Portage Public Library at 1 p.m.
March 4
Blacklick Valley Elementary at 10 a.m.
March 6
Pressley Ridge Day School, at 445 Schoolhouse Drive in Johnstown at 10:30 a.m.
