Butterball is recalling approximately 80,000 pounds of raw ground turkey products that may be contaminated with Salmonella.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the cases were reported in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
There was one hospitalization, but no deaths were reported
The prepacked raw ground turkey was produced on July 7, 2018. The following products are subject to recall:
- 48-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “BUTTERBALL everyday Fresh Ground Turkey WITH NATURAL FLAVORING (85 percent LEAN/15 percent FAT)”
- 48-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “BUTTERBALL everyday Fresh Ground Turkey WITH NATURAL FLAVORING (93 percent LEAN/7 percent FAT)”
- 16-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “BUTTERBALL everyday Fresh Ground Turkey WITH NATURAL FLAVORING (85 percent LEAN/15 percent FAT)”
- 16-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “BUTTERBALL everyday Fresh Ground Turkey WITH NATURAL FLAVORING (93 percent LEAN/7 percent FAT)”
- 48-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “Kroger GROUND TURKEY FRESH 85 percent LEAN – 15 percent FAT”
- 48-oz. plastic wrapped tray containing “FOOD LION 15 percent fat ground turkey with natural flavorings”
